We've been talking about going to a waterpark for a long time and finally just decided to go! We heard from friends about a fun place only 1 hour away so we booked it for a night and took off last week!
The kids were so excited driving up there, especially Jace had been nonstop talking about it.
It's an indoor water resort. We had a great room and the water park is indoors with 82 degree weather, felt so nice! Eli was a little limp the first hour and wouldn't do anything but then he perked up and loved it, especially going down the kiddie slides.
Jace thought it was awesome. His favorite was a big tube slide that we went on with him on a double tube. He'd scream the whole way down about the awesome roller coaster ride. And of course we mostly went down the orange one, his fav color.
They also had a wave pool and lazy river which we enjoyed. We went on weekdays and there was hardly anyone there.
There was a bigger kids area with lots of spraying water and buckets dumping. That night we went to a yummy dinner. It started to feel a little reminiscent of this
attempted vacation (Jace was around Eli's age) while putting Eli to bed, but he finally settled down and slept the whole night. I got to read in the room while Ryan and Jace went to the arcade to play. Jace loved it because he got to play a sword and gun game, the kid loves weapons.
They also had a great kids area where we went and did activities. Eli loves teddy bears and could not get over this huge blow-up one.

We were a little more exhausted on the way home. Poor Eli only got a few minutes of sleep before Jace started hysterically crying because we were leaving.
I love hearing in the car, "Mom, look at us, we're holding hands." They sure love each other. We loved spending time together on our little family getaway and having a break from work, the house, and everything else!

you discovered my favorite thing about these getaways--nothing to distract you from just being with the family. such a happy time! I hope you've had better luck getting Jace's bracelet off than we have on Carter...look for it {still} on Sunday.
How fun! We've talked about doing that too, but haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Lacey and Tanner do that holding hands in the car thing too and I love it. Too bad they can't reach each other over Riley's car seat any more! But that is a really cute picture of the two of them. Glad you had a good time!
