We all went to Naper Settlement yesterday. It was a little chilly, but a fun Saturday activity. We could see what Naperville would have looked like when it was settled in the 1830's. Jace really liked the Blacksmith shop. Although when we asked him what his favorite thing about Naper Settlement was, he said it was when we bought him M&M's to snack on.
Eli wanted to know what it would have been like to be a baby in the 1800's. He thought the cradle was pretty comfortable.
The boys were checking out some of the toys.
Eli and Dad played a little dress up. We think that is what Joseph Naper looked like.
Jace went to school too! They had a mock school class where a teacher had the class read from school books, write their names on the chalkboard, figure out a couple math problems, and play hide the apple. It was fun, but we don't think it got Jace any more excited for when he has to go to preschool for real.

hey, I'd never been there...but looks like a great place to go for a trial 'nauvoo' trip.
Fun! I remember going on field trips there as a youngster. Also, their Christmas weekend there is really nice.
