Last weekend my friend Melyssa came out from Chicago for a visit! It was great to see her, I miss not hanging out every day at work. We met her new dog Charlie who Jace loved. We had a yummy lunch at our house then walked around the Riverwalk and enjoyed the fall weather.
My sister Rebe came out for 3 days from Rochester, New York. She's currently a dietetic intern (it runs in the family!) and this year, the annual American Dietetic Association conference was in Chicago. We went to the conference for 2 days alongside 10,000 other dietitians. We attended some good lectures and especially loved the Expo. We got tons of free food samples, education materials, new products, and coupons. Rebe won a drawing from Welch's and got a purple cashmere scarf, lucky! We each came back with at least 5 bags full of stuff! We had a great time hanging out together, we might need to make this an annual tradition...next year's in Denver!
Here's a picture of some of our loot. Ryan got to be Mr. Mom for 2 days and they had a great time. Sunday was a little dramatic when Jace wouldn't nap at all and then fell down the stairs and got his arm shut in the door at church. But they had fun together, Jace loves spending time with Dad.
The other good part about her being here is that she got to hang out with her cute nephew. Jace loved Aunt Rebe and was almost more excited to see her than me when we got home from being gone all day! We can't wait to see her again after Christmas.

That's way cool that your sister is going to be a dietitian and that you guys will get to see each other at conferences and stuff. It looks like you got my favorite pasta in those yellow boxes. We like the multigrain kind.
