We started Easter off on Saturday dying eggs. Jace loved it! He liked to put the eggs in and out of all the different colors of dye.
We decided to carry on the Melville tradition of rolling Easter eggs down the driveway. We weren't sure how well it would work because our driveway is definately not as steep as the one in Layton, but it turned out pretty good, they rolled all the way down.
Jace thought it was so fun to roll the eggs. Usually you're suppposed to roll them to death and see whose lasts the longest, but by the end Jace was throwing them and running over and pointing to them saying "uh oh."
Then we spent some time in our yard running and rolling down our grass hill. Jace loves when Dad is home to play outside with him!
This is the only picture we have of Easter morning. He was in kind of a bad mood when he woke up and threw his Easter basket across the room when he first saw it, it was pretty funny, not quite the reaction we were expecting. He got a lot happier when he realized there was candy in it! He loved his Cookie Monster he got to go with his Elmo. We got him new Crocs this weekend and they have been on his feet for 4 days straight! He's been napping and sleeping at night with them. It's quite a struggle to get them off for baths and to get on pants. We got the sports Jibbitz to go on them and he loves it.
This is our handsome boy before church. We had Stake Conference and he was really good the first hour and fifteen minutes and then got restless so we were walking in the hallway where he tripped and slammed into a door and cut his chin and lip pretty bad, so we left early. After that incident we got a little rest and then had a good rest of the day eating a yummy dinner with family, an Easter egg hunt with cousins, and watching the Masters with Grandpa Mitchell.

I like the idea of rolling eggs down the driveway. You can never eat them after all they've been through with the dye and all. :) Looks like you guys had fun.
Yes, we definitely need to get together. I've been meaning to call you. Maybe Thursday or Friday we could go to the playground on the river walk. I think the weather is supposed to be nice. I'll call you. :)

Sounds fun! We had a egg roll too but it wasn't very successful, everyone just threw their eggs. Oh well. Jace's crocs are handsome!

Hey! It's been awhile an dI totally should have called you while I was driving from Utah. It's so funny looking at some pictures of Jace because they sometimes look so much like Jade, but I think it's just because they are so close in age. But deinitely this last one from Easter is a face I get of Jade all the time. Love ya girl!
